Fortunately, there's nothing dangerous in the pit you'll fall into simply climb out using the vines on the end. Walking across it will cause it to cave in. If you look closely at the ground, you'll see that it's cracked. Past the suspended crate is the first trap in the game. If you drop back down and pick up the contents, you'll get the Mahavatu Mask, a precious artifact. Break the crate on the other end of the apparatus and it'll go crashing down below to where the campfire is. On the other side, you'll need to slide along the wall (press the Y button) to get across the narrow ledge.Īs you're leaving the camp, you'll see a crate suspended in the air. Along the wall there will be a crocodile statue head that you can swing from with your whip. When you've filled up on health, go back to the top of the stairs and look to the left. Simply cut away the vines blocking entry. Knock up the hunters, then head up the stairs nearby.Īt the top of the last flight of the stairs, heading down the path to the right will take you to a room with a Fountain inside. Also found around the campfire are a couple of chairs and some bottles, which also make effective weapons if you don't fancy the shovel.
